BOOK:

Old Fashioned, Chivalry Makes a Comeback
Paperback 285 Pages

Turning his back on his reckless lifestyle, former frat boy Clay Walsh has settled down to run an antique shop in a small Midwestern college town... and to pursue lofty and outdated theories on love and romance. But when Amber Hewson, a free-spirited woman with a gypsy soul, rents the apartment above his shop, Clay can't help being attracted to her spontaneous and passionate embrace of life. Amber also finds herself surprisingly drawn to Clay, but his ideas about relationships are unusual to say the least, and they bring to light her own deep wounds and fears about love.
They say opposites attract but can Clay and Amber move beyond their differences an their pasts to attempt an "old fashioned" courtship?
The book, in a strange twist, was written after the movies screenplay! It follows the movie but gets a bit more descriptive as to Clays past.

I have yet to complete the entire 40 day journey, but am close to finishing it.  I have a new found respect for the "Old Fashioned Way". I have handed my copies of the books over to my oldest daughter and hope that she will find inspiration as well. Both books are very well written and not hard to get through.

  3. Yours sounds like a great date. I don't know if we've ever gone on a "date", but we've done a lot of hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing, geocaching, etc. together - all of which makes me happy.
