Operation is simple - keep it off the floor about three feet and away from walls and corners. Definitely don't want to breed mold. We just have one of those multiple step stools and place it on that. My daughter has significant allergies with frequent issues with breathing and assorted other ailments. We have been looking for a humidifier for a while and this is the perfect solution for her. Before I discuss the benefits of this machine - I will discuss what makes this so special for her. She has panic disorders and always struggles with sleep. However, she loves loves loves dogs. We have two giant breed dogs but they are not dogs that sleep in our beds or rooms and even if they were it definitely wouldn't help her allergies. She is really at the point where she feels she always needs her buddy beside her bed and running.
