Neither my husband or son can swallow a whole pill. Since I met him, my husband has had to crush ALL the pills he has had to take. It does a good job of crushing but seems to leave a residue of some of the powder. We had to tap it on a plate to get the rest out and then sweep onto a spoon. But there were no big chunks and it was very easy to use.
