 DIAL KIDS
BODY + HAIR WASH

As a parent it can be really hard to get the younger kids to take a bath and to really be still while you "soap them up".  Over the years I have learned that if the soap smells good and makes them not feel "bath stiff" after, (that dry soap feel) they are a bit more willing to take a bath.

As a Purex Insider I was sent a full sized product to try of Dial kids Body + Hair wash for kids aged 2-5. It has a really nice peach smell that's not too overbearing.

My "diva daughter" who is almost 8 was very willing to try it after I gave her a quick whiff!

Her hair smelled like a peach after and she thought I was nutty when I smelled her arm. She smelled like a peach and I love peaches!

Soft Scrub Advanced Surface

Soft Scrub Advanced Surface
Tough on stains, gentle on surfaces

As a Purex Insider I was sent a full sized Soft Scrub Advanced Surface bottle. I don't normally use Soft Scrub anywhere but the bathrooms because of the strong odors it can produce but I thought what the heck since my kitchen needed a good scrub down.

You just apply the gel to the surface, came out a bit too fast for me, and wipe away with a cloth, sponge or paper towel. It really did a good job of cutting through the grease on the stove. I would have taken before pictures but they way it looked, you would probably have passed out! I, in all honesty do not have the time or the energy to scrub the stove every day!
 And under the stovetop....

And the liners.....

It still has the same potent smell, but with the vent fan on it didn't bother me too much this time.
This product is specially formulated for granite and marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and stovetops.
All that being said I was sent THREE (3) coupons for the readers of my blog and review. Since this is the first time I am doing this, I am going to make it very simple to enter! Even if you dont win, you can still enter the Soft Scub Sweepstakes, on their website, and maybe win something there!
Or.... if you dont win, or even if you do, here is the link to a $1.00 off coupon!

Disclaimer: I was provided the Soft Scrub Advanced Surface cleaner for review at no charge to me. I was not compensated in any way.
HERE ARE THE 3 WINNERS OF THE GIVEAWAY! THEY HAVE 48 HOURS TO GET BACK TO ME. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN SENT AN EMAIL!

Toms of Maine toothpaste

TOMS OF MAINE\
I really do love opening my mail!!!

Like any parent, I find it a real challenge to get my kids to brush their teeth. It takes them almost turning yellow sometimes to get it done! And yes it is really sad! The big excuse is that they feel like their mouth is on fire after because of the strength of the toothpaste.

So when I got this sample I told my son to brush away. There are no harsh chemical's to leave the after burn. He used it and actually smiled after an said "Hey that wasn't so bad! I like this stuff."

One down!

My daughter only agreed to use it cause the tube was her favorite color lol blue! She said it was "ok"

Two down!

My oldest daughter gave me the "yeah right" look when I told her to use it, along with the rolled eyes. She didn't complain before or after so I think it may be a thumbs up!

Three down!!!

Three of 3 isnt bad, 2 5yos dont have a clue lol and the oldest doesn't care. Hes 15. So I used it too and I like it! No nasty after taste or burn and my mouth still felt clean.

 Thumbs up!!!

I was given a sample as part of smiley360.
The opinions are my own, as much as they are.

Help out a little girl...

A spaghetti supper will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Island Falls Municipal Building to help raise funds to buy a specially trained assistance dog for 5-year-old Faith McNally, who suffers from spina bifida and life-threatening seizures.

CARES — Canine Assistance Rehabilitation Education and Services — is a not-for-profit organization in Concordia, Kan., that trains and matches “assistance dogs” with the various needs of owners.
“Although it is still a mystery how a dog can sense a seizure, having a dog be able to alert caregivers gives peace where anxiety previously resided,” King said. “Faith, her mom, and her big brother and registered nurse, Shaun, go to Concordia this month to bond and train with their new friend.”
The dog will cost them $2,500 in addition to the expense of travel and a hotel.
King also happens to be chief administrative officer for Brave Hearts, a non-profit Christian-based home for young men located in Island Falls. Brave Hearts is sponsoring a fundraiser for Faith at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Island Falls Municipal Building. This spaghetti supper will accept donations at the door and the Friends of Faith group will raffle several quilts.
For more information, or to make a donation, contact Brave Hearts at 207-463-2126.

Spring and Easter ideas

Easy Candy & Cone Easter Treat

I am not a fan of the Easter Bunny! Not in one little bit! I have never told my kids of a bunny that brings candy! They hear that everywhere else. I am a full blown DO NOT LOOSE THE REASON FOR ANY SEASON parent. I think celebrating season changes in any religion is wonderful.  That being said I did think these were adorable. And Im making them for the kids on easter morning along with their chocolate crosses.

With the amount of cans our family uses, they fill up the recycling bin and the trash can quickly. And in Brewer, you have to pay as you throw in those stupid orange bags. We try to conserve as much space in those as we can. I came across this pic on Pintrest the other day and decided that I will be getting crafty with those cans from now on!
