I was given the opportunity to read "The Tilted Truth" on Vook, an online publishing agent for e-books by self publishing authors. As a book lover, I was thrilled to review a book I know no one I knew had read!
The Tilted Truth is written by Ken Boehs. He served as an Army intelligence officer in special operations engaged in surveillance and intelligence collection for the National Security Agency, NSA, and the Central Intelligence Agency, CIA, during the nineteen-seventies. After leaving the military, he was a private contractor to the government and performed analyses of command and control, communications, and intelligence systems programs.
Here is a short excerpt from the prologue of the book:
As they passed, the woman glanced at Kloes and nodded. Instantly, he whirled and sprang like a panther, taking the man unawares, and then he looped the rope over his head and pulled the handles crosswise with all his strength.
The man gasped a silent scream. With one hand, he desperately grabbed at the rope encircling his neck, while his other arm, pinioned behind the woman’s back, remained useless. She twisted her torso to force him to his knees and he collapsed onto the wooden planks.
Quickly, the two CIA agents crouched over him.
“Think anybody saw it?” the woman asked, scanning the boats along the dock. “His bodyguards are still hovering near the shore. I can barely see them, so I don’t think they caught what happened.”
Sounds good, right?!?! The book gets better as it goes on. The erotic parts are not explicate to the point of not being able to read them. They are done with taste. The characters are well written and given a sense of humanity that makes them feel real in your head as you read.
The second book is currently being written and will be self published as well. I sincerely hope it is as good as the first.
