Our family loves to watch movies. We love to snack when we watch them. One of our favorite things is chips and salsa. I was given the opportunity to review Traverse Bay Farms salsa, and I jumped on it! We love to eat, cook and make salsa.
Here is a bit of background on them. This is an excerpt taken from their website:
Traverse Bay Farms was started by Jennifer LaPointe, a stay-at-home mom who was looking for a better way to encourage her family to eat healthier in spite of a busy schedule. She frequently visited local farm markets to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. During these visits, Jennifer discovered the many amazing health benefits of fruit for all generations. The idea of starting a gourmet fruit business based on healthy living and convenience took root. Traverse Bay Farms was born.
Backed by passion and the desire to offer a varied line of fruit-based products, her new company rapidly grew to offer the broadest selection of gourmet fruit and functional fruit products in the industry.
Traverse Bay Farms was the first company to offer convenient automatic monthly delivery of cherry juice concentrate, dried fruit and fruit supplements. Fruit Advantage (owned by Traverse Bay Farms) was the first brand created to offer a complete line of dietary supplements based solely on the antioxidant benefits of fruit.
The company is currently driven by Jennifer to be a leader in the “Fruit for a Healthy You” movement. It continues to offer innovative and exciting health products based on combining the antioxidant-rich benefits of fruit with the convenience required by today’s lifestyles.
They also have an eco-friendly policy. Here is another excerpt taken from their site:

Traverse Bay Farms also won 7 Scovie Awards at the 2011 Scovie Competition. In total, they took home 5 awards for their salsas and two for their fruit-based BBQ sauces.
I was so lucky to have been sent 2 jars of salsa, of my choosing, to taste and review. OMGosh they are good!!! I was sent the Pineapple and the Peach. They are both Medium flavor. The consistency is just right. It seems to be a little thinner than some salsas but that's ok. The chunks are perfectly small enough to get a bit of everything in every bite.
The yummy goodness in these jars in unbelievable!
Honestly the Peach is my favorite! The slight sweet aftertaste blends with the mild flavor that just implodes in your mouth!
The Pineapple, leaves a taste first and then the mildness hits and yummy on the tongue!
My husband was shocked that it tasted so good. He usually buys a jar salsa that costs about $9.00 and he was shocked to hear that these were only $6.95 a jar! When we are finished with these jars, I'm positive that we will be buying more.
They dont just have salsa. They also have:
Dried Fruit
Superfruit Suppliments
Chocolate Covered Fruits
